Jeff A. Kohlman, Principal

Experience

Jeff Kohlman, a principal of Aviation Management Consulting Group, has over fifteen years of general aviation management and operations experience including FBO operations, facility management, flight department operations, employee training and safety program development and implementation, and aviation management consulting.

Education

Jeff has an undergraduate degree in Aviation Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting and finance from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Jeff is a part time instructor at Metropolitan State College of Denver (Aerospace Science Department) where he teaches a senior-level Aviation Management course. He is also a private pilot.

Jeff has authored (and been interviewed for) several industry trade publication articles.

Presentations

Jeff has given a number of presentations at industry trade shows, conventions, and conferences including those held by the National Air Transportation Association (NATA), American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), Southwest Chapter of AAAE (SWAAAE), and Southeast Chapter of AAAE (SEAAAE).

Some of the topics he has addressed include primary guiding documents (lease/rates and charges policy, minimum standards, and rules and regulations), self-fueling, financial performance, regulations, sponsor assurances, and airport relationships.

 In addition, as indicated previously, for the past several years, Jeff and Paul have conducted a Primary Guiding Documents Workshop on behalf of AAAE (in conjunction with the FAA). This two-day workshop thoroughly examines each of the primary guiding documents (lease/rates and charges policy, minimum standards, and rules and regulations) which are considered essential to the operation and management of an airport.
